Mom & Me Bohemian Skirt

This skirt class will be for beginners, to help young and inexperienced sewers to learn to make their own skirts. This will be great time to spend with your daughters to get them interested in sewing and making their own clothes and spend some quality time doing something together. We have ordered a beautiful plum colored line for this project, but any of our fabrics will work for this beautiful skirt for you and your daughter.
Fabric requirements: 4 yards of fabric this can be broken into either 1 yard cuts of matching fabrics for the 4 fabric version or 2/3 for the 7 fabric version. See pattern for more details and 3/8” waistband elastic long enough to fit your waist comfortably.

Children's Camp: Lounge Pants
Childrens Camp: Lounge Pants
June 19, 21& 22 from 1-4:30pm
Cost: $20 plus pattern
Minimum 3
Age Limit: 9
These children pants or shorts are a great way to start off the summer. They can wear them around the house, to sleepovers or Movies in the Park.
In this three day afternoon class, boys and girls will be able to learn to use the machine more confidently, to read patterns, and how to make their very own clothes. Parents are welcome to drop their kids off their kids for a little free time in their afternoons or stay and help the class.
Attendees will need to bring their own scissors, pins and fabric to the first class. Fabric Requirements: 2 yards for pants and 1 yard for shorts of any cotton fabric, ¾ yard of 1” elastic
Optional: On the last day bring in a matching t-shirt for us to embroider a design or lettering onto to complete the outfit.
Must be able to thread and use their machine. If younger than 9, must talk to Jed about their interest.
This is the pattern, but why I can't find it on Kwik Sews website, I'll never know.

It’s summer time again and that means many days to the library for books and programs for all the boys and girls. Want to make a tote for books with princess fabrics, treasure maps and gold coins, or maybe some sport themed bags? This all day class is aimed to interest the younger sewers, novice and learned, to make a simple bag – a project they can carry around and be proud of to carry library books, baseball equipment, tea sets or whatever they like.
Must be able to thread and use their machine. If younger than 9, must talk to Jed about their interest.
Fabric Requirements: ½ yard cut for outside of bag and ½ yard for inside of bag

Whirlwind Whiz
A new tool is out for the quilting world called the Whirlwind Whiz, by Nancy Quilt Designs. It is suppose to make sewing quarter square triangles a breeze. We will have a shop sample to demonstrate the use of the tool if you find yourself with alot of projects with quarter square triangles. So come on in and try it out.
If you're interested in seeing how it works without coming into the shop, or if you've bought one and need a little more instructions here is a video made by a quilter demonstrating it's use.
